What do I love about the JVX? Even in Florida USA where even smallest local competitions involves competing against the factory swoop team, I can at least have a chance of winning. Since I started flying the JVX I saw that for some reason overnight I started beating the PD factory pilots and nothing but the canopy had changed. I was a die hard Velocity pilot too!

For years I had friends who were excellent canopy pilots but refused to compete because the factory teams had an unfair advantage. Many of them have started competing now because they got a JVX.

Hey Jim, I recently fell in love with my new JVX 79 Hybrid. It really flies like a dream. There is more lift than I ever imagined with the sail material, and I am very much enjoying the no attachment point and warning label on the bottom skin. Thanks for all the help on getting this canopy full of modifications, and the only decision I have to make now it what size full sail to go with for my next purchase. I had questions about being able to go as far under my 79 Hybrid as I did under my 85 ZP, but I guess I answered that question in Germany.

Thanks again, Long Swoops

Eric Miller and I received our canopies yesterday !!!

Joey as always is out-swooping everyone, and I’ve noticed an extra 100 feet in my swoops. We have been working on 4 Way Synchronized 270’s will send you pictures /video when we start hitting them consistently. Did I mention I love these canopies?

The JVX is flying great. The openings are incredible and I have been very consistent with it. I will have some pics for you next weekend. A guy out at the DZ bought a new fish eye and he got some shots lying on his back with me flying over him.

How's it going man? This is Eric Miller from Wicked Liquid. I got a chance to check out Joey & Harry's JVX'es last weekend & I am REALLY impressed! I'd like a JVX80 in the team colors if that's possible. Also, if you guys have any more stickers or random icarus/daedalus merchandise that we can use for giveaways at boogies & the freefly events that we host, that would be fantastic!

This is Harry Parrish. I'd like to order a 2nd JVX 99, the exact same as the one I just received. Royal Blue top skin, white bottom skin, and royal blue cross braces. I'd like to order ASAP.

Harry P

I like the canopy a lot. I think everyone was really impressed with it. You are right about the distance. It just keeps on flying even when you think it is going to stop you get another 100 feet. I don’t know if you remember CSS but we have that hill that we land on. On one jump I planned out at the top of the hill and made it all the way to the bottom. Everyone commented on how impressive the glide the canopy had.

The JVX is sweet! openings are good, and it feels like the fastest canopy that I have flown. I have been doing camera with it, no problem. i am cyced on it.

I was able to get three jumps in on the new JVX, and all I can say is lift and boy does it carry its speed well. I started at the no weight end with a 1.9 wingloading, did a 450, little high but wanted to be on the safe side, it still came out well, and maintained most of my speed, the second jump was at a 2.1 a 450 and was a little more on it this time which was quick for not hitting the powerband, the next jump I loaded a little more up 35lbs, a 2.35 I believe. I started to notice I was starting to get closer to the sweet spot on the canopy, I can't wait to get this thing at a 2.5 I did another 450 and still was out of the powerband, The canopy infact had so much lift, I gave it the same amount of imput I would have given my 78 xaos, The next thing I know I am 10 back in the air at the end of the swoop, transitioned to toggles, and thats another thing, The canopy flares very deeply, I feel confident that I could easily make a hand wrap prior to final fare and I still wouldn't be at stall point. All I can say is I like the canopy very much, and think you have really made a winner with this one. I look forward to a long lasting relationship with Daedalus canopies

Whats up.! So, I put about 50 jumps on the jvx so far and love it! I didnt want to comment until I checked out the openings on the canopy but there are fine, so im ready to get another. I will be heading up the freefly school at Skydive Chicago and running a ton of freefly and swoop events. So, I should be on track for about 500-700 hundred training swoops for 2006. I definitely need another JVX!

Thanks

Yes, got the canopy and had several jumps on it now. Fantastic canopy. Interesting openings - you can really pack the 1500 footers if you want to!! Slowly getting it dialed in with regards to swooping and can see some awesome potential from it.
